A Love Letter to Miami · Letter No. 04
Dear Sunny Isles Beach,
A wall of towers on one side, the Atlantic on the other, and a beach at the bottom of the elevator. Everyone falls for your view first. Before they do, I want them to read the building too.
The feeling
A sunrise over the ocean from a high floor. The fishing pier at the end of the street. Quiet sand in the morning, and the Intracoastal behind you at sunset. Sunny Isles Beach feels like a vacation you get to keep.
A view with an elevator
Most of life here happens in a tower: lobby, pool, gym, valet and the beach downstairs. Collins Avenue for errands, Heritage Park and the pier for a walk, Aventura a short drive west. High-rise living by the sea: ask what keeps the building standing.
P.S. for business owners
A tower is a neighborhood. Thousands of residents live within an elevator ride of the street, and many split the year between here and somewhere else. Before you sign for a space, learn the season: who is here in February, and who is here in August. Then check parking, access from Collins Avenue, signage rules and what is next door.
The calendar is part of the location.
Before you commit
Living here: ask for the reserve study, the milestone inspection, the association’s insurance and any special assessments. Buying new: read the contract and the deposit schedule twice. Opening here: read the block before the lease, in season and out of it.
