A Love Letter to Miami · Letter No. 03
Dear Brickell,
Glass towers, a river that opens its bridges at lunch, and a train that runs above the street. You move fast. Before anyone follows you, I want them to see where you are going.
The feeling
Coffee on Brickell Avenue. The Miami River under the bridge. The bay at the end of the street. A financial district that stays awake after 6 PM. Brickell feels like Miami at full speed.
A walkable day
Metromover and Metrorail for many errands instead of a car. The Underline for a run or a walk under the tracks. Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village for dinner. High-rise living: elevators, amenities and a skyline view.
P.S. for business owners
A walkable day is a walkable business. Offices, restaurants and homes share the same blocks, so the street has a morning, a lunch and an evening rush. Before you sign for a space, stand on the corner and count who walks past at 8 AM, 1 PM and 7 PM. Then check loading and parking, signage rules, and what is next door.
The right corner is a customer acquisition strategy.
Before you commit
Living here: ask for the reserve study, the milestone inspection, the association budget and the insurance. Opening here: read the block before the lease: foot traffic by hour, access, visibility, and the businesses around you.
